at a minimum, provide divorce assistance with divorce planning and facilitation and legal documents
always do the best you can
do everything possible to help couples divorce amicably; if that is not possible, you will follow the steps to formally release them

technologically savvy
able to work independently, and make use of your resources
organized and detail-oriented

You have

all the required credentials to process divorces in your state
an understanding of:
      • the legal process and legally what’s required to obtain a divorce in your state
      • how to do the legal documents to process a divorce in your state
ability to fulfill all your state’s requirements to process divorces either as an attorney or a non-attorney
experience processing divorces
the financial means to pay for the license and support yourself for the three to six months that it will take to get your business running
a strong desire to have your own business knowing that you will also have to market your business
at least several years of legal experience, preferably in family law and in your county, so that you understand the process and are familiar with the forms
a willingness to learn how and do the work to market and sell your services
a belief that couples should not have to stay in unhappy relationships and that divorce can be a new beginning for them

What else do you need?

  • Divorce With Dignity Providers should have the proper amount of working capital required to have a successful business. Based upon a minimum $15k licensing fee, you should have available working capital of at least an additional $30k to $45k.
  • DWD Providers are given robust training and ample resources and support to be successful; however, becoming successful in your business requires that you take full advantage of the resources available to you – and that you act as the business owner that you are, which requires that you take full responsibility for networking with potential business/referral partners and for managing your business.
  • The Divorce With Dignity Network has developed many tools and resources as well as a proven marketable name to help you successfully open your DWD office that will operate smoothly and efficiently. We help you get started fast so you are ready to begin helping clients within just a couple of months. Our Providers save thousands of dollars in start-up expenses and, most importantly, avoid many of the risks associated with starting a business on your own without any help or support.
